Antonio Conte has warned Jose Mourinho that he will not tone down his passion ahead of Chelsea‘s FA Cup clash with Manchester United on Monday night.
Mourinho accused the Italian manager of ‘humiliating’ him after the Red Devils’ 4-0 thumping back in October when tensions spilled over into the tunnel at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won 4-0 when these sides met in the Premier League earlier in the season, with the Italian getting the better of the manager sacked by the Blues last term.
Mourinho is known for his tendency to get into spats with rival managers, and has been cranking up the mind games as usual ahead of this tie
Still, Conte doesn’t seem too phased by the Portuguese’s antics, and reminded him that talking off the pitch isn’t enough to win football matches.
When asked about Mourinho’s mind games, Conte said: ‘Mind games don’t bring you to win. The most important thing is what happens on the pitch. To prepare the team in the right way, with good organisation.
